Troubleshooting & recovery

Season-specific repair

Target cache, rendering-configuration or component issues after game updates with the smallest necessary intervention. Season repair organizes troubleshooting; it is not a guaranteed fix for every update problem.

Mechanisms and technical considerations

Before-and-after differences

Game or driver updates change operating conditions, so previously working configurations and caches may need review. Confirm timing and exclude unrelated simultaneous changes.

Distinguish action types

Cache cleanup, rendering-configuration changes and runtime or DirectX checks are different actions. Checks report state; repairs or cleanup may modify the environment. Review each scope rather than selecting everything.

Partial results and prerequisites

Treat complete, skipped, failed and partial results separately. Actions with process-state or protected-path prerequisites must satisfy them; broader manual deletion is not a substitute for supported steps.

Validation method

  1. Record the update version, symptom and first occurrence and define a testable hypothesis.
  2. Close required applications and run only relevant actions, retaining per-item outcomes.
  3. After restarts and cache preparation, repeat the original scenario and use diagnostics if needed.
