Troubleshooting & recovery

200T network repair

Separate name resolution, adapter configuration, network-stack state and game-server response instead of attributing every connection issue to DNS. Verify configuration changes and restored game connectivity independently.

01

Mechanisms and technical considerations

Layered network diagnosis

DNS resolves names; gateways, links, server state and account state are separate concerns. Successful resolution does not prove service connectivity, and changing DNS cannot remove account restrictions or repair a server.

Scope of operations

Flushing the DNS cache, changing an adapter’s DNS and resetting networking have different scopes. Identify the active adapter and current configuration, then choose the smallest necessary action.

Protection and recovery limits

Static IPs, VPNs, virtual adapters, policy DNS and remote sessions require additional protection. Restoring saved IPv4 DNS restores that setting, not an entire network-stack reset.

Validation method

  1. Check the adapter, IPv4, gateway and DNS and distinguish local-network from game-side issues.
  2. Retain the original configuration, review interruption risk and perform the relevant action without bypassing protections.
  3. Verify settings readback, basic connectivity and the actual game connection separately, restarting when required.
